Sarai sighed and shook her head a bit, practically jogging to keep up with his strides. "There has to be something we can do! What if he actually wants us to think outside the box?" she questioned. "To take the risk? All's fair in love and war, right? I believe this is counted as war. We can manage...though I need beat for offering to help that vermin."

Khast thought for a moment. Finally he spoke, "Perhaps, but I don't think Kastel Zypher is one to sit on the sidelines while we figure out a way around this; he'd play an active part". He stopped outside the start location, and looked at Sarai, "You go on inside. I'll be there in a second, 'just have to get a few things". A little while later an enormous metal beast lumbered into the warehouse, weaving through the knights toward Sarai. Shock and awe filled the room, and knights gave the giant a large berth. Even Sarai must have felt slightly intimidated as the massive slate-gray armor of a crusader lumbered over to her. "Hey Sarai", echoed Khast's voice form beneath the iron helm.

Sarai raised her eyebrows a bit at Khast's armor. "Have you not heard of just letting fate take it's course? Or at least getting the adrenaline rush knowing you may get stabbed?" she asked, shaking her head. "Either way, I'm going to find a way out of this."

Khast smirked, though he knew it could not be seen under the bulky helmet that rested atop his head. "Why let fate decide when you're going to die?" From somewhere among the other knights, someone called out. It was time to move, and without a plan the knights began to charge the streets in small packs, hunting for blood. Khast looked to Sarai as the room filled out. It was time to make a decision. He had but a second to decide; luckily his choice was made in a fraction of that time. "boobs", Khast said, nodding his head in agreement. "I'll come with you, Sarai. You could use all the help you can get". Khast then noticed Zambi, "What about you? Off to kill fellow knights?"

Sarai narrowed her eyes. "Please tell me you did not just decide to help me because I have breasts," she said icily. "Because right now, you're soooo lucky we're on the same team and I need your help." She then turned to look at Zambi. "Don't make the same mistake he just did, you'll regret it after the tournament, and if we lose, i'll be especially sour."

Looking around at all the blood lust, Zambi surprisingly didn't appear to feel at home. He shifted akimbo and exhaled, "There's a few guys here I wouldn't mind pegging. I am a "Death Knight", after all... But, there's enough psychos around already."
"Just don't expect me to be bossed around, Rubberbands."

"We're not going to win if we just keep standing around!" Sarai snapped before heading towards the exit. "You're both starting to piss me off..." As she exited the warehouse and made her way down the street, she began brainstorming all of the logical places where the key could be. Maybe it's inside the building...everyone would be expecting it to be elsewhere... she mused.

Vertigo arrived as most of the other knights were heading out, desperation and recklessness etched on their faces. He sighed and looked around. "Khai! Come with me. Feste! Kitty! Over here. Zara! Come on." He led the four knights through a tangle of dark streets, then turned to face them. "This is madness. The Kastell is killing innocents. We're ending the tournament." He paused to note their reactions. They were scared, of course, and with good reason, but they nodded - at least most of them. "What say you?" asked Vertigo, turning to Khai.

Khai looked at the others, their faces all serious, each coughing a slight "aye." Khai looked at Vertigo with an eager face. "... Can't we just ki-- Okay, yeah your idea's be-- Wait WAIT, how in the HELL are we gonna beat this kid at his own game, Huh..?" Khai crossed his arms and looked at the other knights. Like lost puppies... He thought to himself.

"The point," grated Vertigo, "is not whether or how we can beat the Kastell. The point is whether or not we should try. He's having us kill each other in an effort to free people who would not be in danger but for him and half of whom he'll kill anyway. There can be no question of what is justice. If you wish to do your duty, Khai, you'll come with us. Otherwise, we leave you here. Your choice."

Sarai let out a sigh and turned around, glaring back at the warehouse. "ARE YOU EVER GOING TO FOLLOW?!" she called out to them, bordering on anger. We're never going to get anywhere if they don't hurry up! she thought bitterly.

He let out a sigh and then scratched his head, looking down.Khai raised his eye brows and looked up at Vertigo through his hair, "Okay.. Now that you've stated the obvious, What the fuck do you actually intend on doing about it.?" The other knights muttered amongst each other, indecisively.

The face of a steel gargoyle stayed eerily transfixed upon Sarai. After a few moments a voice echoed from somewhere beneath the grinning mouth, "You really have no idea what your getting yourself into, do you?"
"Right, so we know it's not in the thrift shop", Khast called over his shoulder, referencing the perfectly round crater a few feet to their left. Sarai, Zambie, and Khast crouched behind the small wooden shack, intent upon staying hidden. "Zache, Welcotts, and Giddius. Zache is kinetic, Welcotts is conductive, and as you are probably more than aware of, Giddius is a shifter". Though Khast was far too belittled by her comment to make eye contact with her, he spoke to Sarai through the cover of his peripheral vision, "I'm going to need you to distract Giddius so he doesent....poof us. Zambi and I will then mount a forward assult..."
Dozens of miles away a lazy child by the name of Tod happened to notice something very strange. Sitting upright, Tod eyed the sight as he nudged his brother in the ribs, "Hey Rimm, did ya' see that?" Rimm lifted his old hat, and directed one eye to the target of his younger brothers finger. "See wut?" "That there thrift store was just a dawg just a minute ago!" Rimm scoffed, letting his hat slide back down to his nose, "Yur dreamin' Tod, them critters can't be no thrift stores. Na go on 'n quit wakin' me up fur nothin'". "Aww, I guess yur right Rimm, shucks".

Sarai raised her eyebrows and looked over at Khast. "Just how, might I ask, do you expect me to manage that?" she asked. "I promise I'll save any pain inflicting until after the tournament so you don't have to fear telling me now. I'm guessing you're wanting me to flash my chest or something?"

It took half a second for Khast to forget his belittlement, "What? No, that's not what I meant--Not saying that wouldn't work, I'm sure you've got a nice--I mean, using your power would be the smarter thing to do--not saying your not smart or anything..." Khast's armor bulged a little bit, noticeable only by the ominous creak that issued from somewhere beneath the steel plates. The large man fell silent, his eyes wandering to the floor, "...I think you should use your ability...".
