A darker man leaned against the wall, his long curly dark red hair was strung out infront of his face. " Zambi, using little girls as ounching bags? And I thought better of you." He looked up, smiling sarcasitcally. His ears were gaged, along with several other tribal peircings. Khai was one of the last left of the extinct tirbe Sha' iek Ghali, in the Terkan Privdence in the desert terra. He was by far, a rare person to see on the streets anymore. The man pulled his hair back into a short ponytail. " So what have you been up too, kid?" He asked, smiling wryly.

The medical wing was not particularly busy that day. It never was. Khast sat uneasily in a bedside chair, waiting patiently for a diagnosis. A short, stout man hustled through the door, forcefully shaking Khast's hand as he turned to the unconscious Kit, "Well, I've got good news. Kit is going to be fine. Better than fine, in fact!" The doctor let the air of mystery fill the room before he continued, "It seems that what is plaguing young Kit here, is in fact the development of her ability!" As if sensing the question on Khast's mind, the doctor continued, a bit more grimly than before. "Some powers don't come as easily as others. This young girl's power is...changing her. These types of powers are rare, but always cause extreme pain to the person. The best we can do is sedate her for now and wait for the development to run it's course".
Khast looked from the doctor to Kit. How could such a young girl be forced through such pain?

'Why must men always make such messes? Do they honestly expect women to constantly clean up after them?' Sarai thought bitterly as she made her way through the alleys en route to find a certain shark-man. A smirk spread across her pink lips as she contemplated ways to handle the situation though she knew she must restrain herself from employing the worst of her ideas. It was strange how such an innocent looking beauty could be so cold and heartless. Her long, light blonde hair was pulled back to reveal a radiant, however pale, face. Her grey-blue eyes were as murky as the ocean after a storm and her lips were as pale as cherry blossoms; her nose was sharp but even that looked exquisite on her face. Sarai Edana was definitely a good choice for a name; it summed her up almost completely. She was indeed quarrelsome and fiery, never one to back down or be pushed around.
As she reached the barracks, her features seemed to darken and contort with displeasure. She had no desire to investigate this mess at the moment for she was already in foul spirits to begin with. The door flung open sharply and she eyed the occupants of the barracks suspiciously.
"I am assuming you all know of the mess that one of you morons made so why don't you just make things easier and tell me where the fish is," Sarai said coldly, referring to the shark.

Vertigo looked up from a chart of the Genoese sewers. No one was ever quite comfortable with Sarai around, but Vertigo perhaps less than most, and so he was one of the few who would talk to her without first being specifically addressed. "Last I saw, madam, he was en route to the lockers. Is there something I could assist you with?" Sarai was scary, but that didn't change the fact that she was very pretty, not that Vertigo had any wish for a closer relationship, of course, but still, he thought, a pretty girl is a pretty girl, no matter how you look at it, though the fact that she seemed to enjoy inflicting pain on people and was really good at it did sort of eclipse her beauty to some extent - although certainly not totally - but there had been rumors, he reflected, about certain prisoners who - Vertigo decided to stop thinking about it.

"Eh? Oh, hey, Khai. I'm gonna change and get something to eat. I was gonna before, but I got called to go save the kid's ass or something. She'll be fine, though, she's a knight. Probably." Zambi stopped and looked at the dark man. "Hey, wait, don't call me kid. You're only older by a few mon--"
"So why don't you just make things easier and tell me where the fish is."
Zambi recognized that voice instantly. "Shit, it's her! I don't have time to hang around here!" Without hesitating, he made a mad dash for the nearest window and jumped out into the street.

Sarai couldn't help but to allow a small smile creep to her lips. "Ah, Vertigo, if only more of these bastards were like you. I only ever harm those who anger me or if it truly serves to benefit my gain," she said, her voice loud enough to be heard in the lockers. A dark chuckle escaped her throat and she shook her head. "If you do happen to see Zambi this evening, assuming he doesn't tuck tail and run like the coward he is, tell him that I wish to speak with him. But do bring to his attention that the longer he avoids me, the more pain I will inflict. Apparently no one seems to comprehend this fact..."

Khai stood there and laughed. His deep brown eyes lit up, the blue streaks sparkled like glistening water ripples in the sun. He folded his arms carelessly and looked up into the sky. after a short pause he laughed in delayed reaction. Thinking about this 'tough boy' running from a girl. I wonder what's next? he laughed, thinking to himself.

Sarai shook her head and adjusted her black corset top a bit before heading towards the lockers. "What morons..." she muttered under her breath before making her way down the hall and setting her grey-blue eyes on Khai. Judging by his laughter, she knew that Zambi had ran and that frustrated her. "Which way?" she asked quickly, her voice portraying her annoyance.

He quieted down, though not trying to mask his smile, as would most men there. "I'm sorry Princess, but I don't know what you're talking about." He stared directly into her firey pale-blue eyes and raised an eyebrow. Khai unfolded his arms, putting one on his golden sash tied tightly around his waist and into a knot on the left side where his saber rested. The other hand brushed at his emerald tunic, brushing off dust. He didn't bother to stand up strait. " You must try elsewhere" He wryly smiled again.

Her eyes narrowed dangerously and she took a menacing step closer. "Don't test my patience, Khai," she warned. "I am in no mood for your jokes and don't call me Princess." Her hands moved to rest on either hip, just touching the waistband of her black pants. "Don't make me take my frustrations out on you."

"Well now, I think if you had gotten the power of fire, or Ice, you'd still do the same damage upon me." He said in a serious manner. Soon after making a weird face, wondering how on earth those words added up into actual logic. But again he shrugged and said, " I don't know what you are talking about." He folded his arms once more and leaned further into the wall. Standing strait, tapping his feet, then hitting the wall again with a slight 'Thud'.

Sarai simply shrugged at his opinion. "Perhaps, perhaps not," she said matter-of-factly. "You know damn well what I'm talking about, Khai. In which direction did Zambi take off?" As she spoke, she wormed her way into his mind and tricked it into believe that his own heart was being squeezed by a vice.

He jerked at the notion towards his heart pain, leaning forward just a but, yet still spoke in a solid tone. "Hmm. I think he went that way..." And he pointed up, " Then," he said in a struggled tone, " That way" pointing to the left and slightly downwards. He winked, the wiggled his finger like a worm in all different directions. " And then he did this" He laughed, gasping twice with the pain.
" You can't tell with that one, teh?" He said amidst his choked laughing

His persistance angered her even more so and caused her to intensify the pain in his heart as well as give the sensation that his ribs were being snapped one by one in multiple places. "I'm warning you, Khai," she hissed. "I am in no mood to deal with your nonsense. I'm sure you know that I can hurt you in more ways than you ever thought possible."

Khai grabbed at his chest, choking on the mental pain, yet-- still managed a weak laugh. He said nothing, only smiled and pointed towards the window.
"Now ... let.. go of you... Urgh.. pain grip." he said, trying hard to maintain a stable voice.
