Due to the diversity of the powers people are imbued with, people are given jobs that best suit their powers. Have control over fires? You should be a firefighter!! Can you change the direction of oceanic currents at a whim? You should probably be a ship navigator!! Unfortunately, due to the specific abilities that citizens of Genoa have, picking a field not complimented by those abilities is sure to spell doom for ones career. Why, just think what would happen if a nurse had the ability to command wood, or a construction worker could cure the sickly. Their abilities would be waisted, and they would fail at life.

So then what is the caste system of Genoa?

I'm glad you asked! The most noble Kastell Zypher is the leader of all Genoa, followed by his royal advisories, the Sanctums. After that come his royal guard, The Knights Tuskata, then the Church of Genoa. Outside of the Royal class you have the merchant class, middle class, and lower class. The merchant class is composed mostly of wealthy merchants who gain a favorable profit trading between cities. The people of the middle class live a humble life working in cities as traders and shopkeepers. Lastly, the lower class is made up of people who have either failed at their jobs, or cannot keep a steady one. These people generally attempt to oppose the law and cause havoc, but thanks to the tireless efforts of Kastell Zypher, these citizens are promptly put in their place.

Hahah! Unfortunately not just anyone can become a member of the royal class. Members of the highest class must be born with one of a few extra rare powers, each power deturmining their place in that class. Don't worry little girl, I'm sure you'll make a fine addition to the middle class! This concludes "Your Powers and You!". If you enjoyed "Your Powers and You!", try some of our other educational selections, including, "Genoa, a History!", "All Hail The Great Kastell Zypher!", and "Pay Your Taxes....or Else!".
